The recently completed Pavilion at Vision Senior Living's Forest Lake Gardens retirement complex was conceived as the social and recreational hub of the development. Designed by Chow:Hill and opened at a Christmas lunch at the end of 2004, the $2,500,000 building overlooking Te Rapa racecourse takes full advantage of its site and surrounds.

The building not only caters for the needs of the elderly, but was also created as an aesthetically pleasing modern statement, with a strong emphasis on transparent glass and steel spaces. It houses a lounge and dining area, spa, pool and gym, along with a bar and café. The design is complemented by contemporary colours, furniture and artwork, and sits easily in its environs.
