The Chow:Hill Design Student of the Year award is one of two annual awards offered by Chow:Hill as an integral part of their strategic teaching alliance with UNITEC.
The award is open to students from all years within the UNITEC School of Architecture and is given to the student who, in the opinion of Chow:Hill, is that year's top architectural design student. The winning student receives an air ticket to any city in the world, conditional upon the student presenting a pertinent research of study programme for the trip.
The New Zealand design profession and Chow:Hill in particular benefit greatly from integrating international design expertise with local design talent. In offering a travel scholarship, Chow:Hill seek to encourage new Zealand top design talent to further develop their international design perspective through personal experience.
