Chow:Hill were engaged as lead consultant to work in partnership with Manukau City Council to develop the Draft Concept Plan for Manurewa Town Centre. The proposals address the Regional Growth Strategy requirements for intensification, while improving the local urban environment.

The Concept Plan proposes that accessibility and key linkages be enhanced, to encourage a compact, attractive and pedestrian-friendly town centre. The intention is to achieve significant revitalisation by allowing appropriate intensification of activities within and around the town centre area. This is supported by proposed restructuring of the passenger transport network to serve the town centre more effectively.

A range of other initiatives are also proposed to enhance employment opportunities within Manurewa Town Centre, support the strong community spirit and sense of civic pride in the area and improve existing green space areas and public access to them.
