In architecture, Devyani Sethi found a discipline that enabled her to blend all her creative interests. Today, the architectural graduate shares her passion for design with Chow:Hill and creative technology students at AUT.
Inspired by the opportunity architecture has to shape new experiences, architectural graduate Devyani enjoys telling stories about culture, people, relationships and connections through her design.
Innately creative – Devyani is a ceramic artist – she is passionate about mentoring others and currently teaches a digital fabrications paper to architecture and creative technologies students at AUT. She is also curious and tries to determine the intentions behind the purpose of a space or design before commencing work on a project.
For Devyani, architecture is about interaction, accessibility and collaboration that foster opportunity for sociological and environmental change and, in a world that is becoming increasingly disassociated with our surroundings, Devyani hopes her work can influence the empathetic connection between people and the built environment.
