Registered Architect Edith Chan is interested in health design for communities and creating refreshing daily experiences with her use of modern design approaches.

Experienced architectural professional Edith Chan’s compassionate attitude and technical background have proved invaluable in creating and collaborating on the design of healthcare facilities that deliver for clinicians, nursing staff and patients.

Working from Chow:Hill’s Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau studio, Edith has focused on the documentation of large-scale healthcare projects in both the public and private sectors, from the conceptual brief presentation and detailed design documents, to contract administration and practical completion. She has been instrumental in the design and construction of New Zealand’s largest hospital build, Waipapa Acute Services Building, as well as North Shore Hospital’s Diagnostic Breast Services, Starship Children's Hospital Day Stay Unit, Braemar Hospital Operation Theatre extension, and Auckland City Hospital’s Integrated Stroke Unit.

Edith also enjoys designing for occupants, creating environments that are effortlessly occupied and utilised. In addition to her work in the healthcare sector, Edith has contributed to the design of high-value residential and multi-unit developments.
