Intermediate Architectural Technician, Vaishali Vir is intrigued with how art and engineering work together to create our society’s infrastructure.
Studying architecture in both India and New Zealand has exposed Vaishali to different building and design styles. From India’s brick and concrete construction to New Zealand’s use of timber and other sustainable materials, Vaishali is now blending both in her work for Chow:Hill clients.
Starting out as a draftsperson, Vaishali brings experience in technical detailing to her projects and combines this with the inspiration she gathers from exploring architectural design of different countries and different eras.
Vaishali believes as a designer she has an opportunity to create functional buildings that also contribute to society’s beauty and is inspired by the saying of Louise Sullivan “Form Follows Function”.
An avid cook, fitness enthusiast, and traveller, Vaishali enjoys the challenges that present themselves every day in her chosen profession.
