Chow:Hill Auckland

From Myanmar to Auckland, Blenheim to Bethlehem, Intermediate Designer, Saw Khaing, brings an experienced portfolio to Chow:Hill’s Tāmaki Makaurau studio.

Growing up in Myanmar has had significant influence on Saw’s approach to design. Surrounded by various forms of architecture, Saw realised that each building, project, space and environment catered for people’s needs. Understanding those needs is what Saw brings to each design project today.

Saw’s first experience of architecture was at the age of 16 when he was involved in the design and build of the family home. That opportunity has shaped and inspired Saw to pursue a career in the architecture and design industry.

Experienced in commercial, health and educational design, Saw has worked on a number of projects across New Zealand including Christchurch Hospital Tower 3, Mauri Ora Mental Healting Facility, and the Auckland District Health Board PICU Atrium redevelopment. Based in our Auckland studio, Saw leans on this experience to design environments for the people who use them.
