As a Senior Principal at Chow:Hill, Simon is passionate about delivering successful outcomes for clients. With more than 30 years’ experience, he has led the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects across the commercial, healthcare, aged care, education, retail, automotive and workplace sectors. His portfolio includes new-build developments, refurbishments, commercial fitouts, car dealership facilities, remediation and upgrade projects, and large-scale master planning initiatives. He has also successfully managed projects within active operational environments, balancing stakeholder needs while minimising disruption to business operations.
His particular interest in the healthcare and aged care sectors has seen him lead significant projects throughout New Zealand, including major developments in Auckland and Waikato. Of particular note is his involvement in the extensive Braemar Hospital redevelopment, along with the master planning and delivery of apartment living developments for a number of Oceania Healthcare retirement villages.
A strong believer in effective leadership and disciplined project delivery, Simon is recognised for his attention to detail and ability to guide complex projects from concept through to completion. His collaborative approach fosters strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring design solutions are practical, innovative, and aligned with project objectives.
