Chien Chow’s skill in capturing a client’s aspirations and articulating dreams by way of powerful graphics has contributed to the success of the architectural practice he co-founded in 1992.
The founder of one of New Zealand’s most significant design practices always knew he wanted to be an architect. At the age of seven, Chien had a natural aptitude for sketching; today those sketches transform his client’s architectural dreams into reality.
Chien’s passion for the industry he has successfully carved a career in centres around the relationships he establishes with staff and clients; relationships based on mutual respect and trust. That desire to truly understand a client’s vision ensures Chien delivers on his word and creates lasting designs that capture attention and inspire interaction.
Chien’s areas of expertise include concept planning and design to commercial and civic architecture, development planning and healthcare projects to refurbishment and reconfiguration work. In his current role as design consultant at Chow:Hill, Chien shares his knowledge and continued enthusiasm of architecture and design with staff and clients, fostering the growth and development of the company he established almost 30 years ago.
