The experiences Fran Loader has gained through her varied career to date is shaping her design and creativity as a Senior Architectural Designer in Chow:Hill’s Kirikiriroa Studio.

From a dual trade apprenticeship at Kinleith Pulp and Paper Mill to a Special Projects Co-ordinator at KiwiRail Networks Ltd, Fran’s journey to her role as a Senior Architectural Designer has been anything but linear. However, the experiences she’s gained through her diverse career history in both hemispheres informs her design thinking and problem solving.

With a belief that architecture can be used to create meaningful experiences and moments in our everyday lives, Fran is passionate about adaptive reuse, particularly of industrial and heritage spaces, and is excited to shape her career with this direction in mind.

An experienced user of ArchiCad and with a desire to incorporate sustainable features in her design, Fran seeks inspiration from the natural and built environment around her. It’s also where she can be found outside of the studio. Fran is a keen rock climber, mountain biker, gardener and hiker, usually with the company of her heading dog, Marty.
