Students gain insight into inner workings of Chow:Hill's design studio.

At the end of 2017 Chow:Hill invited three Year 8 students from Horsham Downs School, Yanni, Braden and Daniel, along with Steve Dunsmore, Principal, to visit our Hamilton studio and see the inner workings of an architecture studio.

The students were given a tour of the studio and an opportunity to see the progress of the concepts that Chow:Hill has been developing for Horsham Downs School. These students were invited to visit as they had drawn up a Computer Aided Design (CAD) of their own, using Google Sketch-Up, of an outdoor learning space between Rooms 12 and 13, which impressed our team.

During their visit, these future designers were given a challenge: to design a tower that would put Hamilton on the map! Using popsicle sticks, tape, blue tack and material samples the students created a model of their ideas in just 30 minutes! The designs that resulted were full of innovation and creativity.

The team here thoroughly enjoyed having Yanni, Braden and Daniel visit our office. Chow:Hill is currently developing their ideas to bring an innovative solution to reality for the Horsham Downs School in 2018.
